Better Design Award adheres to the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness in the evaluation of works across different categories. To ensure the review process is conducted in a standardized and orderly manner, the Organizing Committee held a briefing session on August 18. At the session, Professor Lu Xiaobo, Senior Professor of Liberal Arts at Tsinghua University and Dean of the Tsinghua University-Tsingshang Joint Institute for Smart Scene Innovation Design, explained the evaluation rules and procedures.
During the six-day review, a jury of 34 Chinese and international experts conducted a comprehensive assessment of the entries. Following the principles of fairness, impartiality, objectivity, and professionalism, works were evaluated across three dimensions: foresight, industrialization, and people-centered value. After careful scoring, 1,175 entries were shortlisted.
