All entrants advancing in the [Product Design] category must ship a physical product/prototype/model for evaluation. Certain works in Digital Creativity and Information Services (including digital audiovisuals, interaction design, industrial software, etc.) without physical form may instead submit a video.
If the same entry is shortlisted for both the Main Competition and the AI & Robotics Special Competition, the physical work only needs to be sent once before the Main Competition Second Evaluation. For entries shortlisted only for the AI & Robotics Special Competition, mailing is not required for now and should be arranged after the Main Competition Second Evaluation concludes.
Method 1: Shipping a Physical Product/Prototype/Model
• Product Design works (Industrial Cornerstone, Better Life): Provide a physical product or model.
• Concept Design works (Future Design): Provide a prototype or model.
* The Second Evaluation venue is indoors. The entrance size limit is width 1.1m, height 1.9m; elevator maximum load is 1350kg. If the work is oversized, overweight, immovable, difficult to transport, or of significant value, a scaled model or prototype may be shipped instead. It is recommended that models/prototypes highlight demonstration functions—the more complete the demonstration, the better jury members can understand the work. If no scaled model/prototype is available, a video should be provided.
Method 2: Uploading a Video
• Certain works in Digital Creativity and Information Services (including digital audiovisuals, interaction design, industrial software, etc.) without physical form must upload a video on the “Submission & Shipping Information” page. Video submission requirements are the same as at the time of application: MP4 format, under 100MB, recommended resolution of 1280×720 (720p), and a maximum duration of 2 minutes.
*Failure to ship the physical product/prototype/model on time as required will be deemed a waiver of participation rights, and the entry will not proceed to subsequent evaluation stages. The shipping requirements for shortlisted entries are specified as follows:
