
Xiao Zhensheng, a member of the Communist Party of China, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Master’s degree in Economic Law, and a PhD in Economics. He is a lawyer and a senior editor. Recognized by the Publicity Department and the Organization Department of the Central Committee as a leading figure in philosophy and social sciences under the “Four Groups of Talents” program, he is also a recipient of the 17th Changjiang-Taofen Award (Taofen category) and receives a special government allowance from the State Council. Xiao has led, organized, planned, created, and participated in numerous major thematic and news campaign reports, such as coverage of the 13th to 19th National Congresses of the Communist Party of China, the Yangtze River diversion for the Three Gorges Project, the 1998 flood relief, Hong Kong’s return to China, Macau’s return, China’s accession to the WTO, the fight against SARS, the Wenchuan Earthquake, the Beijing Olympics, the Yushu Earthquake, the “Shenzhou” and “Tiangong” space missions, the “Chang’e” lunar missions, the “Jiaolong” deep-sea exploration, the 10,000-meter manned deep-sea dive, poverty alleviation efforts, and the China Space Station. His work has won him several national awards, including multiple “Five-One Project Special Awards” and China Journalism Awards, and he has been received by the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee on several occasions in recognition of his outstanding contributions.
