On November 28, 2025, the Better Design Award AI & Robotics Enter the Industrial Park: Specialized Industrial Design Matchmaking Conference was successfully held in Shenzhen. The event brought together more than 100 participants, including representatives from industrial parks, senior design experts, investment and financing institutions, leading enterprises across the industrial chain, upstream and downstream companies, and outstanding project teams from the competition. Han Qingmiao, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy District Mayor of the Futian District People’s Government of Shenzhen, as well as Deputy Director of the Futian District Bureau of Science, Technology, and Industry Information, attended the event.

The conference was themed “Design Empowerment, Intelligent Manufacturing for the Future.” Focusing on the transformation and implementation of outcomes from the AI & Robotics Special Competition, the event adhered to the principles of government guidance, market orientation, scenario-driven development, and capital empowerment. A full-cycle closed-loop mechanism was systematically established, covering project guidance, project roadshows, results matchmaking, and scenario-based negotiations, to accelerate the commercialization of AI & Robotics innovations and promote the high-quality transformation of competition outcomes.

The event focused on cutting-edge developments in AI & Robotics. Industry authorities including Kong He, Deputy Director of the Robotics Institute at Southern University of Science and Technology, and Guan Zhen, Director of Guangdong AI Research Institute, were invited to provide professional project guidance. Drawing on their research experience and industry insights, the experts conducted in-depth analyses of key challenges and development priorities in the AI and robotics fields, offering targeted and practical guidance to outstanding project teams from the competition.

The presentations comprehensively showcased technological breakthroughs and industrial application prospects, with a strong focus on areas such as intelligent manufacturing, smart home solutions, and medical rehabilitation, highlighting the commercialization potential of AI and robotics technologies.

In the industry matchmaking session, renowned experts from academia, industry, and investment circles—including Wang Fenghong, Vice Dean of the School of Design at South China University of Technology, and Zhu Hui, Partner and Director of Investor Relations at Jinghu Capital—engaged in face-to-face discussions with representatives from the roadshow teams. Through in-depth exchanges, the session promoted precise alignment between technological achievements, creative solutions, and market demand, facilitating efficient connections among innovation projects, industrial resources, and capital support.

Industry Matchmaking Dialogue
In addition, the 2025 BDA Interactive Innovation Experience Zone for AI and Robotics was specially established on site, showcasing innovative works across key sectors such as industrial production, smart home applications, medical rehabilitation, and emergency response. The exhibition demonstrated the deep integration of industrial design and technological innovation. In parallel, a one-on-one industry matchmaking negotiation area was set up to enable targeted connections across the industrial value chain, effectively linking real-world application scenarios with industry needs.

As the first stop of the 2025 Better Design Award AI & Robotics Enter the Industrial Park: Specialized Industrial Design Matchmaking Conference series, the event aimed to build a dedicated platform for the transformation of AI and robotics innovations. Through a dual-interaction mechanism of “design empowering intelligence and intelligence enhancing design,” the conference precisely integrated policy support, technological expertise, capital resources, and application scenarios. This approach is intended to accelerate the efficient transformation and implementation of competition outcomes and continuously support the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence and robotics industry.
